About Us

We are a community based group and offer of Art and Craft based activities and the opportunity for members to exhibit and The Centenary Arts and Crafts group meet every Monday in a secular, supportive, happy atmosphere.
We vary in age, our youngest member being 16, but we are mainly in our 50s 60s and beyond. Our interests vary widely too. This oasis in the week can be very important for some of us as inevitably we can have illness, infirmity and responsibilities that can be hard going sometimes.

By being creative together any problems can be eased somewhat. The overwhelming feeling whilst being at our club is of fun, laughter and creativity.

We have members who pursue crafts such as soft toy making , bead work, decoupage, card making, knitting, leatherwork, photography and wood turning. Our painters work in water colour, acrylics, oils, pen and wash and acrylic on slate. We welcome new members subject to availability of space.

New members need to be aware that space at our exhibitions cannot be guaranteed, as existing members take priority although fluctuations regularly occur

New members wishing to explore painting are supported and welcomed by all our painters but are also offered tutoring by one of our most experienced and accomplished members.

Besides producing a whole range of craft and art work we do get the chance to display our work and offer it for sale locally at various venues in our beautiful county. See our exhibitions page for dates times and venues.
